Meet Your Chaska Dentists

Thomas J. Meschke, DDS
Dr. Meschke was born and raised in central Minnesota. After graduating from Concordia College with a bachelor of science degree, Dr. Meschke received his DDS from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. In 1988, he moved to Chaska and began his career in private practice under the direction of Dr. Edgar F. Ziegler.

Dr. Meschke’s passion for dental science and natural beauty come together as he designs strong, healthy smiles. He takes a comprehensive approach to dentistry because of his genuine concern for our patients’ overall health and wellbeing. With modern technology, including CEREC, Dr. Meschke maximizes patient comfort, accurate diagnostics, and our patients’ valuable time.

As an advocate of continuing education, Dr. Meschke stays on the forefront of modern dentistry and offers patients what he considers the finest materials, techniques, and services. Dr. Meschke holds membership in the American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association, and Minneapolis District Dental Association, as well as other associations and study clubs.

Dr. Meschke and his wife, Sharon, have four children: John, Joseph, Kelli, and Timothy. Away from the office, Dr. Meschke enjoys hunting, fishing, biking, running, and nearly every outdoor activity. He and his family attend Westwood Community Church in Chanhassen, and Dr. Meschke has attended two mission trips to Honduras. He hopes to return soon.

John D. Seaverson, DDS
Dr. Seaverson grew up in northwestern Minnesota, where his father has practiced dentistry for over 30 years. He graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2000 and has completed the University of Minnesota's Post-Graduate Program in Esthetic Dentistry Level I. There, Dr. Seaverson had the opportunity to train under leading educators and practitioners in the fields of esthetic and adhesive dentistry. At the world-renowned Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, Dr. Seaverson extended his training in August 2005. He continues to study at The Dawson Academy, focusing on diagnosis and treatment of joint and muscle issues.

Dr. Seaverson had the privilege of being one of the staff dentists for the 2004 World Junior Hockey Championships. He has particularly enjoyed participating in the Minnesota Dental Association's Give Kids a Smile Program by volunteering to provide treatment to children in need. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology.

John and his wife, Dr. Kari Seaverson, live in Chaska with their two very active sons, Jack and Cole. Dr. Seaverson is an avid runner and triathlete. He has completed races ranging from 5Ks to Ironman triathlons. As a member of Team Ortho, he helps raise money for orthopedic research through racing.
